Being Green: A bike that portrays YOU!

We love the idea of trading the car every once in a while for a greener approach to transportation: a nice bike ride specially during spring time. But of course, if we want to do that we might as well have a beautiful and fun bike to go around.  Urban Outfitters is working together with Republic Bike to let you create the bike of your dreams. You can pick your bike model and then choose the colors in it. We customized two models we would love for ourselves! How would your bike be?

Pure White by Susanna Cots

Susanna Cots, an up-and-coming designer based in Barcelona envisioned this house in Almuñecar, Granada. The project, shortlisted for the SBID International Awards 2011, was named ‘Pure White’ because of the use of light as an integral part of the design. Except for the kid’s areas, white is the absolute protagonist of this beautiful home.

Riverdale Loft by Beauparlant Design

We first learned of the interior design firm Beauparlant Design because it is featured in Houzz, a website we love because it allows you to create idea books and constantly see examples and references of new materials used in diverse projects. We had to share with you this very clean, functional and beautiful design of a loft they did in Toronto.

From Trash to Treasures

Flipping through the pages of last month’s Architectural Digest Spain we ran into a name that got our attention: Piet Hein Eek. The beauty of the dutch designer’s work lies in the fact that it is given an undoubtedly unique identity by all the repurposed materials he uses, which would probably  be considered trash by the average person. We decided we had to get to know more about his designs, so here are some of his pieces.
